This Refund & Cancellation Policy (“Policy”) explains how cancellations and refunds work for paid access to the Memory Notes digital service (“Service”).
Mandatory consumer protection laws in your country/region may give you additional rights; where they apply, those mandatory rules prevail over this Policy.
1) What you are purchasing
The Service is a digital subscription service (SaaS) delivered online.
Some plans may include a defined usage allowance for AI features per billing cycle (for example, a number of allowed actions/requests); this is a usage limit within the Service, not stored value.
AI usage allowance is non-transferable, not redeemable for cash, and cannot be used to buy third‑party goods/services.
2) Billing, auto‑renewal, and cancellation
Subscriptions may be offered on a monthly or annual billing cycle and renew automatically unless cancelled.
You can cancel auto‑renewal at any time via your account settings or by contacting support as described in Section 8; cancellation stops future renewals.
Unless a refund is granted under Section 4 or required by law, cancellation does not refund fees already paid for the current billing period.
3) Immediate access & EU/EEA/UK withdrawal right notice
If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA/UK, distance contracts generally include a 14‑day “right of withdrawal,” subject to exceptions.
For digital content/digital services supplied online, that right can be lost once performance begins if you gave prior express consent to immediate performance and acknowledged that you would lose your withdrawal right once performance begins.
Where legally required, we will obtain this consent and acknowledgement at checkout (for example, by a mandatory checkbox) before granting immediate access to paid features.
4) Refund policy (our standard rule)
4.1 Standard rule: no refunds after immediate access begins
Because the Service is delivered digitally and access is provided immediately after payment, all sales are final and we do not offer refunds once access to paid features has begun, except where required by applicable law or where Section 5 applies.
“Access has begun” includes enabling paid features for your account and/or any meaningful use of paid features, including generating outputs using paid AI features.
4.2 Before access begins (rare)
If payment is successfully captured but we have not granted access to paid features (for example, due to a technical provisioning error), we will either provide access promptly or issue a refund.
4.3 Renewals
Renewal charges are treated the same way as initial charges: if immediate access continues after renewal, renewal fees are generally non‑refundable except where required by law.
5) Exceptions: when refunds or remedies may be provided
5.1 Service defects / non‑conformity / significant outage
If the Service is materially unavailable due to our fault for a meaningful period, or the Service fails to conform materially to what was promised, we may provide an appropriate remedy such as (a) fixing the issue, (b) extending access, or (c) refunding the affected period, as required by applicable law.
5.2 Unauthorized transactions
If you believe a payment was unauthorized, contact support immediately; we may request information to investigate and may direct you to your card issuer/payment provider where appropriate.
5.3 Where local law grants an unwaivable refund/withdrawal right
If mandatory local law provides a non‑waivable right to withdraw or refund in your situation, we will comply with that law even if this Policy states otherwise.
6) Important: cancellation vs refund
Cancelling stops future renewals; it is not the same as a refund.
Unless a refund is granted under Section 5 or required by law, you keep access until the end of the current paid period after cancelling.
Deleting the app or stopping use does not automatically cancel your subscription.
7) Free trials, promotions, and plan changes (optional section)
If we offer a free trial, you must cancel before the trial ends to avoid being charged.
Discounts or promotional pricing may be conditional (e.g., requiring a minimum term) as described at checkout; refunds follow this Policy unless required by law.
8) How to contact support
Email: metamind@kakao.com
Please include: account email, purchase date, amount, payment method, and any receipt/transaction ID.
9) Policy updates
We may update this Policy from time to time; the posted version on our website is the current version.
If changes are material, we will provide notice within the Service or by email where required.
